Kodamera on Drupal: Webform - A short introduction

drupal

I just love forms. A for Drupal we use the Webform module. It's wonderful!

From Kodamera's website: "The Webform module is a powerful ally when you need complex forms. In this video I talk briefly about when you can use Webform, what different components that ships with the module and also a little about the functionality the the module offers when is comes to sending emails and showing the information added to the webform."

Kodamera on Drupal: Fight SPAM with the Honeypot module

drupal

Geeze, time flies. It's been more than 6 months since my last screencast. Well, time to get back in the saddle. This time I'm talking about SPAM. From Kodameras website: "SPAM is one thing you don't want on your site(s) and there are plenty modules dealing with the prevention of SPAM. One of our favourite modules on this topic is the HoneyPot module, and in this screencast we talk about the ingenuity behind this module and show you how you activate the module on your site."

Drupal 14 years

15th of January is Drupal's official birthday! Happy birthday, Drupal! As usual, I took it upon me to go and buy a cake for the office and it turned out quite nice this year!

Community Summit of DrupalCon Amsterdam

drupal

Even if I went to bed early, my B&B's location close to the fire department made my night eventful (two fires apparantly) and my morning at bit slo-o-o-ow. I did have the time to get my registration done at the venue, get a cup of coffee and join the other Drupalistas in G104 for my first community summit.

Releasing DrupalCamp Gothenburg's website. Finally!

drupal

My blog has been suffering alongside my work with DrupalCamp Gothenburg. It's hard work since we're only two guys making it happen this year, and there's a lot done and more to do. It brings me great pleasure to say that we just passed a major mile-stone when releasing the website for DrupalCamp Gothenburg. It's a new take on camp-sites, at least what I can gather. This site wont disappear after a couple of years, when the community looses interest in it.

More reliable Drupal statistics?

drupal

Fact: Using the Update module for collecting data has been the standard since Drupal 6.0.
Another fact: Sites not using that module aren't submitting usage statistics to drupal.org.
Yet another fact: Third-party monitoring services are rendering the Update module rather useless.
Result: Misleading statistics on Drupal core and module usage.

Don't panic! A blog about Drupal.

Don't panic!

Now, why should I name this blog "Don't panic!"? Well, for several reasons I would say. Firstly, why not? Secondly, as a appreciative nod towards Douglas Adams and his wonderful book "Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy" that had Don't panic! written on the cover of the guide book (which var a compact computer, the iPad of the time I would say). Finally, Don't panic! might soothe some of the feelings Drupal might conjure.
