Drupal continues to be my favorite playground on the web — not just because it’s powerful, but because there’s so much creativity and humor in the community. In the post 12 fun modules for Drupal, I listed a few amusing modules that showed developers sometimes have a twinkle in their eye. Now it’s time for another round: more quirky, charming, and delightfully unnecessary add-on modules that make Drupal a little more… human.

In one way or another, I have developed, configured, and worked with Drupal for over 15 years. On almost every website I’ve had the privilege of working on, there have been various forms of forms—comment fields, contact forms, membership requests, and so on. And something that’s always been present is spam.

For those of you who usually read my blog, it's no news that I dabble with the content management system Drupal. This website is built on Drupal, as well as many of my other websites such as Alla Talar Svenska or the podcast platform Voffor Då Då. Drupal is more or less a Swiss Army knife when it comes to building different kinds of solutions, and behind it is an open-source community that ensures its development and maintenance.

The coffee module is a Drupal equivalent to Spotlight on Mac and using the Windows key to search. It's by far the most used module in all of my Drupal installations.

I just love forms. A for Drupal we use the Webform module. It's wonderful!

Fact: Using the Update module for collecting data has been the standard since Drupal 6.0.
Another fact: Sites not using that module aren't submitting usage statistics to drupal.org.
Yet another fact: Third-party monitoring services are rendering the Update module rather useless.
Result: Misleading statistics on Drupal core and module usage.
